Welcome

Hello and welcome to another blog post. This blog post is all about my Robot that I made as a Birthday Present for my father. Making this robot took a ridiculous amount of time but it was totally worth it. If you like my robot make sure to head over to my Instagram and give him a like. The link is below. The pattern is by; Storyland Amis. You should definitely check her Website because she sells some really nice patterns. Anyway, let's move on to the learning part of this blog post.

Tips

I think it is time to get into the tips part of this blog post. The following techniques are the ones I will be showing you today.

  1. How to join two legs without sewing

  2. How to crochet in chains

  3. How to crochet a slip stitch

  4. How to crochet a half double crochet

Hope you are excited to learn how to do these Techniques so let's get started.

How to join two legs without sewing

Step 1:

First you will need to make both legs.

Step 2:

One you have made the second don’t finish it. For this pattern I made a chain of three.

Step 3:

Then you crochet in other leg like so.

Once you have done this you have connected both legs. Now you will Crochet around both legs normally and on both sides of the chain. If you are doing this following a pattern make sure to follow the pattern if it says you should do things differently than how I am teaching it to you. It might say make a chain of 2 instead of 3 or a chain of 5.

In the picture the arrow is pointing to where you should insert your hook. You have to insert it in between the chain.

Step 2:

Insert your hook between the chain.

Step 3:

Now yarn over and pull through completing whatever stitch you were crocheting.

How to crochet a slip stitch

Step 1:

Insert your hook in the next stitch.

Step 2:

Now yarn over and pull through.

Step 3:

Pull through the first loop like so.

That's it!!

How to crochet a half double crochet

Step 1:

Yarn over and move on to the next stitch.

Step 2:

Insert your hook in the next stitch.

Step 3:

Yarn over and pull through all three loops.

Stitch complete!!
