Tips
It's time to start with the teaching part of this blog post. Below is a list of what I'll be teaching you today.
How to attach Safety Eyes
How to embroider a smile
How to change color invisibly
Hope you are excited to learn how to do these things, so let's get started.
How to attach Safety Eyes
Step 1:
First, insert eyes where you want them to be.
Step 2:
Now flip the project and on the back insert the washers, like shown in the picture.
How to embroider a smile
Step 1:
Starting from the back insert your needle where you want one edge of the smile to be.
Step 2:
Now insert your needle in the middle and bring it out where the other edge is.
Step 3:
Now insert the needle in the middle again and pull tight.
Step 4:
The smile is complete! Make sure to hide the yarn strands inside of the amigurumi.
How to change color invisibly
Step 1:
Once you've reach the last stitch of the round before the color change, don't finish off the stitch.
Step 2:
Instead form a loop with the other color and pull through the two other loops on your hook normally.
Step 3:
Now in the next stitch crochet a tight slip stich and make a loose chain. Now continue crocheting in every stitch as you would do normally.
Step 4:
Once you've finished the round crochet in the chain instead of the slip stitch. This way the color change is invisible.
